So I have obtained 6 small Oscars from 4 different aquarium shops. All betwee 6-7cm in size except the L/F is 9.5cm and of several different strains. This will be a journal of how they grow, issues, personalities etc.. I hope to update every 2-4 Weeks.
The tank is 8ft x 2.5ft x 2ft
Filtration is 4ft sump with Ehiem 5000Lt/H pump, Fluvial FX6 (3500Lt/H) as well as 1000L/H internal canister filter intermittent for extra flow.20190729_231133.jpg20190729_232047.jpg20190729_231129.jpg20190729_231058.jpg20190725_133341.jpg20190729_231106.jpg

I'll definitely be following the growth progress.

I like the first one. What type is it?

Looks like you have the recipe for a really nice setup here. Any you thinking about adding any plecos or other bottom dwellers, cats, etc?

This will be interesting to follow.
Tank looks good too, where did you get the wood from? If the tanks 8ft then the pieces of wood must be huge.

The driftwood I obtained from my mothers property a few years ago when we were removing trees and stumps to put in new fencing. I had to cut it in 3 pieces to fit it inside the tank around the bracing ...

The first one I think is just a normal tiger Oscar without any orange, will be interesting to see if he changes colours..
The only other stock in there at the moment is a 9cm ebjd ( probably have to seperate in coming weeks because i dont think he will keep up with the growth rate), a pair of breeding adult royal whiptail cats, a few random L numbers that i cant catch or find every time I want to try removing them..‍♂️
