I was just about to do some reading on them on my way to Tyler. It's a two hour drive from here and I have a medical seminar out there that I am doing(If i get my commision ill be at the fish store all day today). I wont know anything about them till later, but they are really cool. They are rootless as well!

Very cool Jose. I'm going in a different direction as well with the hobby. I'd like to get my feet wet with a planted tank as well. Very inspirational journey you've put together.
thanks Joey. what you thinking of doing? a planted tank is a great addition to a room!

planted discuss tank would be amazing. a 75g, 90, 100, 135, 150, etc. any of those would be sweet

Man, seeing those pics make me miss my 125g planted tank :(. At one point the plants were so thick you couldn't tell there were any fish in it. I had a 16" dragon goby that could hide for weeks from me :).

^ that's awesome! thats the look im going for. i cant WAIT till the background plants fill in. i hate seeing the bare wall :)

Well I'm sure yours will end up looking a lot nicer than mine. I just had stuff randomly placed in the tank, and if it grew, great. I had a lot of amazon swords, cabomba, wisteria, giant baby tears, and a couple others. I had some sort of lace leaf plant, but it would grow up to about 2 feet tall, die overnight and dissolve, then grow back over about a month. It probably did this every month for a year. I moved it to another tank, and it sort of stunted into a sad little 8" plant...

The swords took over the tank though. I had one that had like 6-8 baby swords growing off it at one time, and they were each about 6" tall themselves.
