Any questions, please feel free to ask in this thread. Dont worry about derailing
OK!!!! This tank finally has water after waiting a long time to get this going! These are some quick and dirty pics, not much has happened and there are hardly any plants in it, but I wanted to get this thread up. There will be LOTS of plants added in the coming weeks, as well as fish and shrimp so stay tuned for updates.
Also, the CO2 isn't running yet. My regulator arrives tomorrow so I will post some new pics after that is going. After that I can begin buying some of the more demanding plant species. Right now it's pretty bare, but patience is KEY when it comes to planted tanks. Good things dont happen overnight, only bad things
Before we get into the details, THIS TANK IS RUNNING A SUMP W/ OVERFLOWS!! Normally folks dont run sumps on a tank that has co2 injection because the water splashing will gas off a lot of your co2. But by using a Durso standpipe and a valve on the drain line to match the pump's output, I have eliminated ALL splashing and gurgling. The tank is dead silent, just a little noise from the pump. Here's a quick video to show the details:

And just a quick shot of my old 55g Aqua Forest. I got big shoes to fill
