I am sorry for your loss. I know what it feels like to get so attached to your fish. About a decade ago I lost three Oscars 12in and a Blue Eyes pleco to a heater malfunction. Made me leave the hobby.
Just jump back in that saddle and get a new fish to lose yourself in, don't leave the hobby like me you will regret it.

No chance of that I’m a lifer! It’s sad to lose a pet. But I’m in it for the long haul!

It always sucks losing a prize fish, especially one that you have had for several years. Good on ya for the attempt that you made on saving him.

I have a bunch fry from their last spawn. I say fry but some of these are approaching 6 or 7 inches.
My plan Is to just let her live her life out maybe with some of the fry as company as long as it works. I will not be trying to pair her again.
