Sorry for your loss. I kept a black piranha for 17 years that I lost about 1.5 years ago. I battled HITH unsuccessfully for 2-3 years. When his time finally came up, I was a bit relieved as it is frustrating to try one treatment after another and just see it not work. I feel your pain. I don't know if I will ever get another black piranha, but I am truly happy to have had the opportunity to keep a single fish for so long. It speaks to your dedication to the fish and being able to maintain a level of dedication in this precarious hobby where random things happen all the time.
