Haven’t seen that. May edge out in weight but length seems to belong to the Emperor.

Not sure if it's a credible source, but fishing world records only has microlepis at 35" for all methods of catch, and temensis at 43 for rod and reel. I've heard of microlepis getting the full 36", as well as temensis at the full 48. Regardless, we're talking american cichlids here.

Imagine catching a 43” temensis. Would love to experience that one day. Good point in American Cichlids. I’m partial to umbee atm.

Im still waiting for some breeder somewhere to unveil some sort of hybrid cichlid that displays prominent growth dysplasia, much like the liger. Imagine the macho clamoring and tank cramming when a 7 foot pbass hits the market.
