currently I have:
1 slobbering cat( brachyplatystoma patyneum)

1 african grass cutter(schilbe intermedius)
1 marble achara(leairus marmorata)

1 bumbble bee cat (psuedopimelodus bufonis)

well its in my 70g cube then once it hits about a foot i'll move it to my 240g when I move into a house and out of my cramped appartment in august I plan on getting a 14'X10'X6' custom built by a shop here in dallas or an 10k pond It'll cost a fortune but it's worth it and i'm looking for a small jau just haven't been able to find one :D

Nice looking Platynemum, how big is it? Was that from Fish Gallery?

I'd forget about the Jau, that will only cause problems with those other cats, they are mean as hell. I've kept one in the past and can vouch for that as well as having had several friends who kept them. Really works best in a specie only tank or massive pond where the Jau can have it's own space.

Temporarily after you get a house I'd recommend going ghetto pond style while you setup the permanent tank/pond. It's cheap and would provide a lot more room for your fish to grow out comfortably in the mean time.

thanks for the advice trent I know the jau is risky but though i'd try it out for a bit and see what happens and yes i did get the platyneum from fish gallery fins are a bit tattered from the african grass cutter i'm just now starting to get her to eat about every day after about three months very picky fish

Talk to Chris at Fish Gallery about his big Jau if you're ever back up there sometime. Dunno if he still has it but used to have about a 2ft one.

here's an update on a few of my cats I sold the african grass cutter recently and thought i may lose my achara bet luckily survived his wounds I was woried that he would eat some of the fish in the 70g (which ended up happening anyway ate an sa lung and a kelberi pbass) so I moved him into the 240 and he kept on moving into the yarreli's hiding spot and the goonch retaliated the achara had multiple puncture wounds damaged fins and pieces of flesh torn off i've been treating with small amounts of salt and getting much better also his pattern is developing quite nicely going to be a stunner the piraiba is now taking massivore and frozen foods and has grown a little bit the slobbering cat has been pounding massivore recently and bulking upImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1369618972.341896.jpgImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1369619238.272426.jpgImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1369619258.178543.jpgImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1369619273.138294.jpgImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1369619290.887455.jpgImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1369619376.886289.jpgImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1369619392.538809.jpgImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1369619418.715958.jpgImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1369619433.857546.jpgImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1369619475.482881.jpg
