I am sad to hear this ..keep trying every few hours..we have out fingers crossed..:nilly:
Thankx, I went to the LFS and got some baby crickets and not a bite. I think cause he's never eaten a live cricket yet. I think I might put some fresh garlic juice into the tank and also some aloe vera juice as well. This might spike up his hunger to strive.

I think there's hunger strikes, then there's Aro's not eating because something else is wrong. Your fish isn't big enough to handle this for long, oh I really wish you the best. Be careful the tank isn't dirty due to excess food wastage. Check your param's again, if you don't have a test kit, you can take a water sample to your lfs and they should do it for free.

meiling has very good advice here... like i said before i hate hearing bad news about baby arows or big arows..it is just heartbreaking..so i really hope he throws us all for a loop and eats one of those crickets.. his instinct should step in when he sees it wiggling... so try and try... :)

you know what, this actually worked for my other aro in the past when he was a toddler. Thankx I'll try.....Thing is its so damn expensive he in hawaii. $8 for a dozen of crickets what a rip off. And there is only one fish store and not petstores for anything other than cats and dogs.

No problem man, $8 for a dozen thats just crazy man....i get mine for free:D all i do go outside and catch them....$8 for a dozen what a rip man:nilly: well good luck man:D

Great idea too.that way they will swim around him and get him going.. good idea Tongue

Nice, I got a small guppy and a few opae shrimp. I'm gunna toss it into the tank later. I checked my water param's again and still I'm baffled. Little to no nitrate level, no ammonia level, ph is between 6.9-7.0 which everyone else's aro's that I know are at in hawaii...it's treated tap even though we get fresh water from the mountain on tap here. I talked to the local fish store owner and he's just keeping his finger's crossed like everyone else is. I asked him about the origin of my fish and he said it's from a captive breeder in Thailand that he's been going through for a long time. He actually has a 3 and a half foot silver from the breeder that he started from egg sack as well and also a 26 inch black from the same breeder. I know cause I'm buddies with his son and have seen them myself. Well, at least he gave me free stuff! I hope my little guy pulls though this. He's swimming around like normal and swims right up to the food and............nothing swims away!
