Hand fed with a splash today.. he is having 1 silverside a day. will try a video tomoz, I bet he would jump out the water for it? Not so sure thats a good thing to train him to do tho, could be a problem as he grows uo lol...
Well I did that with a young bloody face (red wolf, about 3.5 inch at the time), and one day he latched onto my pinky producing a scar still there and visible over a year later...
If that was anywhere near full size Hoplias it probably could have taken part of the finger too, pic is of my finger today a year and a month later scar is above my knuckle, faint but still there. I'd use tongs for a hoplias lol even BF would jump clear out of the water for food, the idea of a good sized hoplias doing it scares me hahaha
I even used to pet my wolf... Keyword used to haha

I know my fault really I should have known from experience, i was thinking spikey dat be ok because all my cats with spikes were in past (not edible) problem was dats can't take beats like cats and they try to run and hide cats just go mental on the spot till the treats gone or given up , as you know with that beast you've got
I tried to cohab a foot long mala with a pair of red terrors - the male was 16" the female 11" it lasted 4 hours. The wolf pined them to an upper corner and would not let them move. The wolf went back to living solo.
Wow that's nuts, had you raised the wolf solo? I've noticed wolves are attracted to messing with brightly colored and silvery fish. My red decapitated 2 threadfin, one g brasiliensis and 2 needlefish.
Also compared to a couple friends wolves mine is the most peaceful but mine was raised with at least bichirs since day one and they all wanted to wait to try tankmates
