I copy and pasted the mamba story from a chat window with someone else from the site. I didn't want to retype it so here it is with the other comments removed. Sorry about the poor format, I am just too tired to retype the whole thing.
so I was a venomous escort there meaning I had to attend all venomous snakes that were not on a table or that had to be removed so someone could see it before they bought it
stuff like that...
well this one guy asks Chad and I to help him with a Green Mamba
so we go to look for tongs and a hook for ourselves to have as backups
well this guy says to me "come on, we dont need that, you're not afraid of a mamba are you?"
so that pissed me off
I am not afraid of them but I respect them
and if he wanted me to be his backup, I was gonna have a tool so that I didnt have to pry one from his hand when he is laying there dead
anyways
I told him that if he wanted to move the snake that he could wait while we tracked down some tools to use.
so he did
when we were ready he hands me a trap box that was I kid you not, held together with duct tape
DUCT TAPE!!!
now I am really pissed, this guy has NO clue what he is doing
we get into the hot room and he tries to get the snake out by banging on the back of the box with a hook because the opening was too small to get a hook in
so Chad finally gets a screw driver and pries the plywood box open enough to get the snake out
and the guy starts to try and move it into its new home which did I mention was a slightly modified 10 gallon?
yeah
it was a night mare and the snake almost got away from him a half a dozen times and I was waiting for that "I told you so" moment you mentioned.
but he finally gets it in
this was something that should have been done on his own time though.
it was already his and he wanted to move it so people could see it
and the next day I found out he was bad mouthing us for "destroying the hot box"
the one that was held together with DUCT TAPE!
