i was in the zoo these days (Wilhelma, Stuttgart / Germany). There i could see a catfish that was BIGGER than an Ornate that was also in the tank ... i think the catfish' days are counted ... the marks all over the body are characteristical - Ornates tend to bite also bigger fish! It is often said that they only eat (or bite) smaller fish - i could watch my former Ornate killing Jack Dempseys like a shark (headbanging etc.).

I have seen my ornate headbanging the other polys in the tank when they get in its way and its feeling particularly grumpy. I also have a little 9inch bastard of a w/c nigerian senegal that is very agressive and headbangs all the polys. Interesting behaviour.
