they look like gears but they are plastic - i got them from my buddy before he closed down his store,... he used this as his bio-media and it works really well. He says he usually uses this media for big ponds. I still have 2 1/2 bags left of this stuff. :headbang2

Second question/concern: I see sponges in the top drawer. I think that some brands use a anti bacteria chemical to their sponge. Have you checked on that?

they are just pure open-cell foam... they've been chillin in there for months now - if they had any chems i think they all would have died a long time ago.. :) people say they also shrink which in my case they do not... it just depends on what you get. i think i know what i am doing dont ya think? :D

yellow fish? =D don't remember haha moved and gave soo many fishes away I lost track of them... that is my current stock and will probably do a few more moves and giveaways... im trying to condense my collection and hopefully get a few more rares and have the 180 up soon.
 
nice..i just recently picked up a 240 or i think it might even be 300 i was to excited to even calculate it ....it was all free...home made wet/dry magnum 350 and like 10-15 koi/goldfish
