Why do you think yours hasnt passed 30" ?
I am impressed it has reached the size it has given the size of your tank.

There is nothing that I can think of that is restricting the growth of mine. It just wont grow:(

Maybe it has topped out. There are small humans so I am sure there are small aros.

mine wont stop growing. but it hasn't hit the 30" mark yet. i notice it either grows heavily in length, but if it doesn't get longer, then it gets wider. but every month, i notice some kind of growth. i need to actually pull out a tape measure. cuz i keep guessing 24" but it could be bigger... could be closer to 26" or maybe even 28"

What size tank would be the minimum for a silver arowana? As i'm getting a new 6x2x2 and wondered would one be ok in it? Thanks.

you would be ok for a few years, until your aor reaches the 24-26" mark. You would then need to make a decision on what to do. I am planning a 8' x 30" x30" for my office this summer. Next winter I am going to atempt to build a 10' x 4' x 3' tank in my basement.

i am getting a 75gal but dont have the specs yet.. can any one tell me if arowanas are legal in south carolina and if so whats the price becasue im debating on pirranhas or arowana?

Don't do an aro. They get WAY too big. Do Piranha.:)

an arowana can only be in a 75 gallon tank for a few months, it will quickly outgrow that tank. do yourself a favor and do some research before buying a arowana

I really have to say it's nice to see someone make a mature decision based on what's best for the fish, I respect that. Aro's are a rare breed, but very rewarding to those who can accomodate them.

I'd like to know what you end up getting and love to see pics when you do!
