This trade has raised an interesting subject. You should all bear in mind that fish have different values in different countries. Asian aros are illegal in the US so obviously some of you would give your right arm for one. However cichla are pretty hard to come by in the UK. My kel and pinima are probably a couple of the rarest fish in the country. If you offered me a big azul for a rtg arowana I wouldn't hesitate as there are no azuls in the uk I am aware of.
Out of curiosity how much would you guys value a 16" mono at?

got it ....totally different market.
In the US a group of 3 RTGs similar to yours is probably worth around 5k (on the black market) and you will be able to get a big mono for under 100.
glad you're happy with your fish and I hope they'll breed for you.

Nice full tank shots man!!, if asian arowanas were as readily available in the US as cichla are, they wouldn't fetch much of a price either. Im sure someone would pay $5000 for monos, if these are the only monos in the States.

you are wrong there....their prices are high (based on type and quality) everywhere (including the countries where they are legal)

Just a few more pics of the cichla. I freakin love these fish.

sick one badass that is a well wicked pack you got there. cant wait till mine reach that size. i can totally assimilate with you. mono pbass are extremely rare over here to, and i would put money down you wont be able to find any of the other species of pbass here at all. which makes these incredible characters worth there weight in gold. these are defs the best fish i have ever kept, loads of personality. they are constantly doing something i can what them for hours. once you've seen an aro swim from one side of the tank to the other you've seen it all/ if someone gave me an aro id chop it up and feed it to my babies.

quality looking bass Timthebadass, your right uk is such a different market from the us, you dont find bass like that very often in the uk, great find, hope the pair up for ya.

CICH! might not have done the same thing, but I'm lovin' it!
