Most maps I have seen place Mexico as north america, acouple I have seen include at least the Yucatan as central america.

North America and Central America are technically one continent. However, its considered that North American consists of Canada, United States, and finally Mexico. 
You are right Benifica, the maps I was looking at that included the Yucatan region with C.A. were specialty maps, cultural history and biodiversity.

notatus is an old name for pygocentrus caribe and you can keep these with other pyrgocentrus piranha like nattereri and piraya but as with piranha is better keeping them to species only tanks.
as for striolatus they are a serrasalmus specie and should be housed alone alone with the other serrasalmus species.
some people have had success keeping the same serra species together and even bred them but i do beleive its better keeping them alone.

Thanks Dixon, I did not know that the notatus had been renamed and that it is the same species as the Caribe, (old books), you wouldn't know what they renamed the Serrasalmus roosevelti as do you?

not 100% sure though so i may look into it when i get home.
i checked and its a bit of a minefield these old names but roosevelt did spend some time in thr rio sao francisco and they seemed to be a shoaling fish so either piraya if from the rio sao francisco or natts if not.

and to answer the question on the most aggressive piranha.
i dont really know they all could have differing aggressive tendencies.
the most aggressive piranha i ever owned (i have owned quite a few) was actualy a red.
this fish was nuts and took part of my pirayas eye and bullied everyone in the tank.
i swapped it and some cash for 2 caribe just to get some harmony in my tank.
a spilo i had could be a bit of a nutter too but it never lived with other fish so it was only aggressive toward me and same with rhoms i had they lived alone apart from a 12'' pleco lived with a rhom for a while.
