I hate to tell you but YOU are the ignorant person... My fish are like my children. I spend alot of time with them and love them like people. I would never own a fish just to impress some1. Whats wrong with you?

x2, i hate peope that do that, he shouldn't be aloud in the hobby, when it's dealing with a liveing creature, that people like him most likely treat like crap, it's just wrong, like dmack once said "it's not what you keep but how it's kept".

belive me, i'm much more impressed by a guy who keep's a amazing tank of discus, with perfect liveing conditions, than a guy who keeps a oscar in a 10 gallon tank

Anyhow, on to the subject.....I agree with Mei, 50K for one fish? I'd make a freshwater swimming pool with a viewing window and swim with 4 foot silver arowana's with that money.

Now you're thinkin like I'm thinkin'. That would be the BOMB! That would be cool...and I think it would only cost about 10 grand at that...the other 40g's would be needed for heating and water bills

While that fish is certainly not the most expensive aro in the market, it is true that aro collectors are paying very high prices for good aro specimens. I guess it's a question of whether u want it, can afford it & see value in it. Otherwise it's just another fish.
