The Most Expensive Fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It's crazy the amount of money some of us will pay for something that can die without any warning After my ST died I put a cap on no more fish over $2500. I keep telling myself to start collecting guitars again. That way I can't lose
I have placed my cap far lower than that and I am trying to stick to it....no more ST for me....not at their current prices LOL!

2500 is my magic number too

$75 is the most I payed(An Albino Sailfin pleco) back around 94. Can't even seeing myself pay that much nowdays for a fish.

If I had that kind of money to wipe my behind with I would not have any of the fish listed here. ..I would dispatch a team to go out and catch me a coelacanth.
I saw the video.. but the prices on the salties is untrue. The prices may have been correct some 10 years ago! :) I have access to most of the salties in that video.
One of my goals as a kid was to own an AUL... it was nearly impossible back then. Now that I've own one.. I quickly realized that the AULs were not my cup of tea. You may be in awe now but you never know what will happen if you actually owned one. They look cool but I think they (Coelacanth) might be boring.

Thats the thing about this hobby of ours....a good deal of the fun is in the longing and looking for the fish that grabs our fancy.
