Aropwn this is for you... THE POND IS FINISHED bubba goes in Saturday along with 2- 12" red bellied pacu that I am getting from a friend. The bad news is my computer dosnt work and I drowned my iPod touch today while working on the pond. So no videos for a while. And sorry if I don't respond this Is my bros iPod I'm using so yeah. But anyway this is a joyous occasion.
 
I'm gonna try to convince my little bro to let me use his iPod to take a video lol. And next week I'm getting the comp fixed so it should be good. Oh and I have a 3000 gallon pond filter but I can't use it yet cause I need a couple accessories so for now I made a DIY filter which is pretty much a canister filter without the pressure pushing it. It consists of a marineland 500 gph powerhead, 3 hard plastic flower pots, carbon, filter sponge, little shower scrubbies (from bed bath and beyond) and a couple milk crates ( to keep it above the water lol)
 
Well i just noticed something today. I saw this awhile back as well and ive come to this conclusion. A 300 gallon will not last a RTC over 6 months.

It started when he was in the 60 gallon. Right before i moved him he was at 9 inches. I noticed that he had slowed down on eating and was only eating half of his ussual. Then i moved him to the 300. He went right back to eating like he used too. Well now he is coming close to the 2 foot mark adn is in a 6x3 foot print. The past few days ive started to see this again. He has been eating whole Irridescent Shark filets that are around a foot long and 4-5 inches wide. Been feeding him one a night. But lately hes only been eating half of it.

My conclusion is that he knows hes starting to outgrow his tank and is stunting himself. I need to get the pond finished quick so he doesnt stay this size permanently.
