well one turned into a prick last night killed 2 and broke all the others egg sacks...they were all eatting and still did as of a few mins ago, but they all got their ***es wipped so i hope they pull through...i have had to isolate the a-hole in my big net so he don't get killed by the 4" aro i have...i tried to put them together now, but it was UFC The Octogon...basterds...i hope they will learn with time...

yes of the 10 i have lost 5...3 due to shipping 2 due to the a-hole who is now in the hole till it can learn to play with others...i had bought 2 before the 10 and one killed the other...so that gives me a total of 6 silvers and a jar...i may get more silvers to put with this group, though i may get larger ones (4"-6") as they at that size could stand up to more of a higher arcy beatting with less losses...

I think I may have missed a post or something because I didnt catch why you have pictures of baby blacks up, and then mention you ordered them as silvers and you got the 10 silver arowanas for $89 deal? You didnt get 10 black aros by mistake for $89, did you ?

Those are baby silvers, they do look similar to blacks at that size. Baby blacks have a yellow stripe, baby silvers have a black stripe.

that would have been the sh*t, i got them for $69 + shipping and a pbass

i was confused at first then i got my first pair of silvers that size and saw the diff....the silvers do have the yellow stripe, it is just smaller the the blacks...

Ive kept aros for like 30 years now,and Ive had them with sacks before too, and I dont ever remember that coloration on silvers- its amazing how similar they are, down to a stripe across the eye-
even now that you guys said so, they still look like blacks to me- only in the last pic, where the spot on the gill is showing up do I begin to see silver in them- its amazing at that size that they survived a difficult trip- but its too bad that the bully was just too much for most of them

they were all mostly dead then came back...ya i am angry with the 2 bullies that i got...

i had them in a 20 gal...then the fights so i moved them to a 55gal...more fights so i have 2 in a 55gal, 1 in the 20gal, and one inside a net in the 20gal...i am 1 tank short since my jar decided it didn't like the new pbass, though it gets alone with everything else...i need the pbass to get a few more inches to be off the menu for my gar in the 180gal to give me that tank to put one in...i may have to go and get some egg crate to divid things up...also to top it all off my heater for the 20gal broke so i have no heater in it now...
