I Don't think this is true...my uncle had 3 rbp in a 75g and they grew from .5 to 8.5 inch and not once did these fish ever fight once and they always looked pristine and perfect they may be less skittish and more bold in groups but from what I watch my uncle do with p's in my opinion it certainly isn't a requirement
