Not sure where you guys have been but he's been doing that with the magfloats forever..... I've been copying that idea for what feels like years, but only on small tanks, I'm not quite to the baller status needed to have that many big magfloats..... :ROFL:

I still can't get over the size of those Balas. How long have you had them Trev?

Another question - I thought you said you ran a pair of Pondmaster hydrive 4.7Ks. How the heck were you able to get that kind of turnover with the overflow teeth still in tact? I've had to hack out teeth on almost every tank I have here......
 
Yup i did the suction cup thing for about a week and the rays just love biting the suction cups off they think its a game lol

The balas are about 7 years old i would guess. They are hogs forsure they eat whole earthworms, whole shrimp, or whole smelt lol i got them from pat at amazon stingrays. He had them in a 450 their whole life

I run two 4800 hydrives i have to dial one of the pumps down though so the tank dosnt overflow lol

WHOLE smelt? Those have to be the biggest I've ever seen....... I have one here that might be 9-10" and I thought he was pretty good sized, but no way could it even handle a whole 55-60 shrimp.

Same ones Pat had in his avatar? A small piece of history cleaning up after or maybe I should say competing with your rays for food...... :) Very cool!!! Did you keep them in with Fang then???
 
Yup if i throw earthworms in they easily eat 3 each they are pigs lol

Ive only had them for about 6 months now. Pat was downsizing some tanks so i took a pair off his hands
