I'm gonna try to get them on pellets straight out of the bag if not with in a few days I only go with blood worms as treats so I'm hoping with what u r saying they will take some micro pellets right away I've managed to get away with just trying it and they usually take quickly for me at least I've been lucky in the past

Rapps said the just looked at the pellet. When I tried tried, they spit them out. It's not so easy my friend. I also never starve cichla this small is not a good idea instead I feed them 3 times a day. Wait till you see how small they are.

Yeah I'm figuring an 1.5-2" it's just a matter of luck I've gotten some temp in the past at that size to take in 2 days mouth them rt out of the bag and the next day they took but I also presoften them so there not hard so when they snap them they go mush instead of staying harder for a min or so but like I've said all my bass are pellet trained and most came in at 2-3" so I'm excited to have some Lil guys again 
Interested to see how these turn out. If they look real good ill prolly get in on the next batch.

Softening them is a way to go.
I got there micro pellets so well see what happens but the anticipation is killing me lol the count down has begun lol
They just landed about 30 mins ago my wife has them acclimating rt now in the transition bucket till I get home but she sent me a video just a few mind ago proud to say no doa's at all and are swimming strong already!
If I knew about these ahead of time I would have jumped in and ordered a few. Looking forward to see how these turn out.
