Decently looking fish. Some cool hybrids, but why is your water level so low? That's a lot of wasted space.
 
Agreed .... It's back to where it should be now. The prior week the water was coming out a little funky because we had just replaced some piping in the back.
 
Mmmm... Yes. Funky water = no good. Most people that keep fish know what they are doing but there are some out there I am not so sure do. Keep up the good work then!
 
I am new to the forum and was also out of the hobby for a little while. However I picked up this guy from my lfs a couple months ago as a Red Texas. I just wanted some confirmation since the staff didn't know the parents or any background for the matter. Thanks

It could be. I saw a bunch of "red texas" too that a store ordered that looked bout like that. They looked like they were more of a texas and flowerhorn cross than anything. I bought one, turned out to be a female. She is starting to get some red but no real big changes yet. Yours just may not have peeled or faded yet. It may, it may not.
 
I actually noticed alot more red come out once I got it home and comfortable. I'm waiting for a peeloff but the pearl is nice even if it doesn't.
