well, Algeria had a good first half. it seemed to me that they were better at controlling the ball and moving it around. but then they never really attacked.

Belgium on the other hand made it count when they had those break aways. i didn't watch the full 90 minutes though, just most because i have my kids with me

A Chinese fan has reportedly died after after staying up for too many nights in a row to watch the World Cup.

A 25-year-old man was found in his home in Suzhou, an area near Shanghai, sat infront of a TV set just hours after Holland's 5-1 thumping of Spain on Friday.

Salvador, the Brazilian city where the game took place on Friday, is 11 hours behind Shanghai, meaning fans in China have to stay up all through the night to follow the tournament.

With the game kicking off at 4pm local time, it did not finish in China until around 5 in the morning, and doctors believe his death could have been caused by the sleep deprivation.

Medical experts have now warned football fans in China about the dangers should they sacrifice sleep during the tournament.

Quality last ten mins couple of amazing saves from both keepers , not the score line I expected tbh

Through first game, the best looking teams are the Dutch and the Germans. Italy, France, Brazil and Argentina are the next group, Mexico and US look better than expected, Spain, Uruguay and Portugal are disappointments though they have time to recover.

You have no idea... It only happens once every four years...

BS, that was only the second night of the world cup, people have stayed up for 120 hours without long-term damage.
Maybe he did drugs to stay awake and that killed him?
You're right, and there was only one game on the first night, so he should have some sleep between the opening game and the second night. Perhaps, seeing Holland beat Spain 5-1 broke his heart...

All the real hard core fans are in brazil not fighting sleep at home lol ;):D
Unless he's been awake four years since the last work cup I doubt this is true

Not been too impressed with few teams or managers decisions so far , brazil have been poor so far why was Fred then jo up front while hulk was sat on the bench (bad decision imo ) like wise with Mexico why bring Hernandez on at 75mins both games when he can bang them in

I've no idea what Roy Hodgson is doing with England Rooney on left wing , sterling on the right and James Milner on the bench absolute madness , he needs to grow a pair and drop rooney hes out of form and has been all season , or if he's to scared to drop the golden boy play two up top with rooney paired up with sturridge

Spain need to realise that they can't play like barca all the time as its not the same team its missing key players like messi , swamping the midfield with ticky tac passing will only wins you games if someones hitting the net at the end of it

I think the only problem Argentina are going to have is messi and agureo pairing up because at the min there both desperate to score and reluctant to pass to each other making the partnership not work between then

Holland , france , Germany have so far lived up to there rep and are doing well we'll see what the Dutch can pull out of the bag later :)

Sorry if I've bored you all to death just a few of my thoughts on the cup so far lol ;):D
