I've had my newest tank up and running for a couple months now with no problems, but yesterday I noticed green algae growing on a rock and a little in the sand by it. That side of the tank is about 2 feet from a window so I'm guessing thats the source but I keep the blinds closed almost all day. Anybody know what may have caused this onslaught?
And now what should I do? Will it harm the fish in the tank as long as it doesn't get too out of hand? I have a plec in my other tank I thought of moving to this one, but would he go to town on the algae or not?
