I think so yeah. It's considered pretty close to loisellei as far as whatever taxonomist use, but technically I'm pretty sure it's a new species. Of course, I'm just guessing as to all this, but from what I've heard it's a new, undescribed species.
There's not a lack of supply for dovii, there's a big lack of demand. They're cool fish and all, but not many people want to keep a fish that will outgrow a 180 and needs a HUGE tank to be kept with any tankmates. The reason that dovii are usually so expensive is because seller's have to charge alot for them to cope with the very small amount that are sold.
