I go fishing a lot in miami and would like to know what kind of peackocks im catching. I know many could be mixes, so your answer could be for example, mix between tem and mono. Number your answers if your not sure on a pic next to number put not sure. This should be fun :)

i wouldn't guess anything more then occel mono mixed florida hybrids but your lucky to get to just go for a cruise and catch them 1 and 2 are definitely not tems imo

Pic# 4 is in my opinion def. Cichla Pleiozona (Lake Gatun Peacock Bass)

Your kidding right.
They are all mono/ocellaris hybrids. I've not heard of any other species of cichla in florida. Many species of cichla can display spots like in the first two pics. Temensis spots are actually very different to this.

i agree w/ tim. All mono/occel hybrids. The first two are nice. No tems for sure. Although tems were also introduced back when the mono's and occels were. Ive heard of some ponds that have tems in FL.

No .Four vertical stripes and black speckles. Google Lake Gatun Peacock Bass.(#4 pic)

No disrespect, but I don't use google to ID cichla. I use my years of reading and experience in the hobby. I'm not always right but in this case I am and I'd appreciate it if you just trust me on this one. I do apologize that I was a little rude in my first post and that may have got your back up.
The fact is cichla pleizona will only be found in it's native waters. I appreciate that they do look very similar but extra spots, fourth bars and other anomalies are common in hybridized cichla. If you look at the fish in the 5th pic you'll see it has speckling instead of bars yet this is still a mono/ocell hybrid.
