Not to say others are fake but, I was going through some pics from awhile back and found this high quality marble that one of my buddies own. What makes this piece special is the high contrast in black and other colors. Enjoy

The "real" Marble eh? Then what do you call all the ones out there that are just as nice if not nicer? LOL....
Know what's even nicer? IF they actually stay nice. Many loose thier patterns. Any Marble can have a "good day", and most of them do under a foot. I've asked several times for pics of this quality Marble at 15+" and I have yet to see one.
Got any more pics? Old pics, current pics, pics of parents? I know I take A LOT of pics of all my nice Marbles.... Surely you can come up with more....

This picture was taken over 10 years ago when rays were not as popular as it is today. Only a handful of importers like Oliver had them for sale. I am sure there are plenty out there that are nice also but at the time it was a rare piece.
As far as requesting pictures of parents.. During this era, most rays were all wild caught. I am no ray expert but I have seen 15+ inch marbles that do retain most of the pattern, although a majority of them darken and fade as they got older. I am sure you have more knowledge on rays then I do but I have been in this hobby for a very long time and have seen rays all over the world.

nice looking marble. Me personally, this is one of the best I've seen (minus the scaring on the right cheek)

That is also a exceptional piece thank you for sharing, I love the solid markings.
I like hearing the stories that go along with these creatures.... Thier history- From import/birth till now. It's crazy to see the changes in pattern too. You can never see enough pics of fish of this quality. They are rare.
