The reckoning

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
ya it did, I honestly only turned on the pump after I had the socks in so only took 3+ hours and it totally cleared up in just that amount of time. As for media I have a bunch of Bio balls I plan to just throw in the sump but also I am am going to put together some really large media bags that I am going to make place a power head in the sump to keep the water moving through it all well and fill it up with to start carbon, ammo-carb, and I am thinking crushed coral. I really wont replace any of the stuff just put it in there and let it all be bio filtration and have some helping effects for anything else that it might do, I already have all this stuff and have done similar with all my other setups so why not just keep doing what works. In the bags I can easily take it out or move it around anytime I want or even rinse it if needed. Have any ideas yourself??

That cleared up real quick!
What else are you addn to the sump? How much media and what type?

awesome love that 600g more updates with pics!

Thanks Ya I am going to take a bunch of pics of everything really soon.

I like the way you hung the filter socks! Seems simple and effective. How are you running the plumbing to the filter socks? My guess is each overflow tower supplies one 1.5" line that T's to two filter socks?

2 inch pipes all the way from the overflows then as you said 2" t split into 2 socks. I added a pic for you to see it all.
