The reckoning

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well decided to try selling the 450 and lots wanted it and it sold fast. I'm happy. I'm thinking next tank unless I find a good deal on something will be a 300 gallon stock tank. I also am getting more into African cichlids and added some new stuff to my show tank. I'm going to be looking for more stock for that tank to keep breeding projects going.

Got 300 pounds of large grain sand or very very small rock how every you want to call it. Glad to not have to think anymore about that stage. I got the torpedo beach sand. Looks like great stuff and I was able to get all 300lbs shipped 2 day shipping for $18.00 lol

Post away I asked. Please do. Ya I just really like sand. Key I read is to find a heavier grain sand that does not stick to rays but also won't bother them also.

Ok here you go sorry about the delay been very busy at work.
He is now a little over 3yrs old. In the last pic he would have been about 18 months old he is looking great these days. Some days he shows great contrast. He was only showing it at the front of his disk today.
Pictures only taken with tank lights so very slow shutter speed and no flash so not my best pictures.

wow amazing the change that took place with that ray, I liked the larger spots allot but still that ray looks great. I would have one in my tank any day.

Alright its been a while with no pics as my phone says I am not logged in and wont let me post a picture but I can still post words anywhere and everywhere. lol, So today going to clean the basement out and prime the walls and ceiling, go buy paint and also buy trim and we will be able to build the stand and put the tank in the basement really soon. Here are some pics of driftwood/ rocks I have been collecting, Rocks, the sand with a size comparison- Normal gravel from LFS sizes and the Cichlid sand and this new stuff in the bag which is going to be great. am thinking for now I will put a bunch of wood and rocks on one side of the tank for smaller fish, Black convics, Food lol, and if the bass get to them ohh well but I would like to see if they could survive and breed in the tank with the bass around. oh and I was able to get a great deal on the sand so if anyone wants info PM me or what and I will tell you where to go and get this deal, as this sand is normaly about 1.00 per pound and then shipping can be crazy. Primer is on.

alright late night just after finishing more work, and what do I do post on here before bed, lol, Trim done, caulk done, paint tomorrow and then stand building yahoo, getting so close, and I got my filter socks in today, 7x17 heat welded 100 micron socks. I plan to run four on the tank but I got 6 as I already have some 200 micron socks on for this and my 125 and I want to try a smaller micron rating, heck I would like to try 50 micron if I could do so. I love clean water in the tank that is a fact. And the dog, well she is just sleepy and wanted to go to bed, lol, She is great.
