Tank looks great, how do you find the colour of the lighting, certainly looks ok in the pics? Do you get the "shimmer effect" like you would with LED or MHs? I was thinking of doing a couple of DIY LED racks for my new tank [which will have a similar footprint], but this seems far easier!

Most all bulbs say the K unit of light they show. Most saltwater is 10000k freshwater is 5000-6000k also know from lights on cars as well. The shimmer effect is not hard to get you just need water movement at the surface. I can do it if I want or not. I just moved my water jets to push more water down off the bottom and not so much at the top so I don't get the shimmer effect. If I move one to make ripples at the surface I get lots of shimmer. I will probably take a video sooner or later showing differences. Or ill add add a power head for shimmer but more than anything I want the water flow to help with filtering more than cool light effects

Well a Deal came up I could not pass today, Someone was selling 10 large to very large Frontosas, so I took all the fish out of my 120 and moved them into the 600 and moved the new fish into the 120. This way I can get them eating well and make sure they are all healthy before mixing them in with anything else. I probably have 60 fish now in the 600 and it look great with all the fish moving around and interacting. I will get pics of everything tomorrow since it is so late now and my 120 is clearing up after moving so much and taking out the very large piece of drift wood I had in there, now its in the 600 for now, just wish it didnt make the water so brown green.

Well moved allot of fish, I was able to find a great deal on 10 F1 Frontosas and decided to go for it as I am looking to upgrade my breeding fish and these are the right size and age and I have the room also. Still was the most I have ever spent on a group of fish before. But I got a sweet sweet deal. As you can see from the other pics I have a huge mix of fish in the 600 and plan to keep adding to that mix with some other stuff I have, clown loaches, Electric Blue, Some peacocks, Few electric yellows, and what ever else. Enjoy the pics, I will get some vid later when the sun goes down more and its better lighting, I also wanted to comment on the Flower Horn and say that everyone says they are as mean as mean and mine does really really well with everyone in the tank, My Jack has Healed up well after his near death experience and looks back to almost normal, just still fins and small and growing back. And I already have some holding so soon Ill have more sp44 not that I need more as you can see I have a very large group and about 40 fry upstairs that are about 2 inches, well not really fry anymore. LOL

Well came down to the tank the other evening and started counting fish more or less. Could not find the flower horn. She got pinned into some socks and could not figure to back out. So had to get her out of the spot. I like the setup but might change it again to make less area for poop to hid at. With all the fish and more planning to add I know it could become an issue at home point. The water in my tank upstairs with the colony of fronts is cleaning up after taking out the drift wood and they are more active now. The first two days they sat together in one corner of the tank. I plan to go get some shrimp for them today. I want to start feeding them good and work on getting some of the females to start holding. They are great looking fish I will need to add some need pics as they look far far better. Still in person way better.

Thanks. Ya I have kinda always wanted some but they are all expensive and I was just not ready to spend the money for one or two. This group was a more or less a steal and they look great. And I don't have to wait the 4-5 years for them to be ready and about breeding size and age.

The Fonts look great!

Love the lighting, and tank! Fronts look great! How much did the lighting cost if you don't mind me asking.

Well the bulbs are like 4.00 per six and the actual fixtures are like 2.00 each. So answer is cheap. I might add some blue lights in somehow.

Ok. Are they easy to assemble(wiring)? Do you have it on a switch?
