The local Peas are definitely getting smarter and they won't take it any more.

Here's what one of them did to me earlier today. Story in the sticky thread in the PB section. Both catches today were released.

Did you really have to have surgery? Or did they just snip the hook and pull it out?

I hate when that happens! I was learning how to use a baitcaster years ago and one of my Rottweilers grabbed the lure. I threw down the rod and ran to help him. He started backing up around a tree and the rapala lure popped out and landed squarely in my shin. I had 5 hooks in my leg that had to be removed at the ER. Hooks hurt when they are in the bone. I never practiced casting around my dogs ever again. Still have the lure as a reminder.
