The skull of the false Parrot cichlid

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Seems like as time goes on the people on this forum are getting less knowledgeable, need I point out all of the times its been proven that they are the result of hybridising REDHEAD CICHLIDS AND RED DEVILS. two fish which DO occur in the same range and could easily interbreed in the wild. In fact I believe this site was where the first pictures of synspilum x midevil fry appearing as blood parrots were shown.

Sometimes feel like I'm the only person on here with a decent memory

Can I add with the reputation the UK has for journalism (Dailymail or the sun anyone?) I wouldn't really expect them to be particularly accurate, of all the normal faced BP's out there they had to find the most deformed looking skull to show the world, their entire article pretty much rests on the fact that it looks "deformed"

Can you tell who this is directed to.

To be honest, I don't think there is anything we can do about blood parrots, no matter what happens people will carry on breeding them and buying them, there have already been millions of parrots made and most people know that they are a hybrid of a red devil and a redhead cichlid so anyone could easily start breeding them.

Although, I think the person who wrote this article is exaggerating, I had a parrot that swam normally and had an almost normal mouth, she had no trouble eating and acted just like any other cichlidImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1362308102.967058.jpg
