The slowest growing GT EVER!!!!

AGGGGHHHH!!! Well I'm not sure if it is or not cause this is my first one but I've had him since about August 06. He did go through about 2 to 3 months where he barely ate but he eats everything in site now. Anyway I snapped some pics of him/her last night.

That is slow. Now that it's eating well though, you should see some growth.

well what are u feeding him? try krill and foods of that nature!

should help!

also maybe foods high in proteins and other healthy elements!

Unfortunately they do grow slowly but it looks like a nice specimen.

Mine put on 3" in 3 months.

If you don't mind me asking... What is the tank size, water temp, and frequency of water changes? Those things, coupled with diet, usually determine growth rate.

Well just got mine but just what I've heard. I have a small one that's probably grown about an 1" in the month I've had him and the others are newer. I heard they are slower growers similar to jd's but grow quickly when small. Guess I heard wrong.

Soon I want to grow everything out first then throw everything in this 180g growout. But little 1"-6" fish I don't want to throw in with stuff like gars that I'm starving to get on prepared. I need more GT's actually but I keep getting distracted by buying other fish. I think 2-3 more GT's and I'm good.

120G, 79F, weekly 50% water changes. feedings include a mix of dried and frozen krill, pellets, bio gold, flakes, bloodworms, brine shrimp.
