The South American puffer, peaceful puffer???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
True they are awesome fish, but I already have an African knife.

I might get congo tetras maybe 4 and what about angelfish? Always wanted to have angelfish for sure! Are they compatible? With bichirs, ropes, knife, bushfish?

I read Angels can get aggressive when they mature so I got 2 ropefish instead as they are more social in groups and maybe to end my stocking. I'll go with a couple congo tetras

Yeah, angels are hit or miss like any cichlid. You never know.

I love rope fish. You're just attracted to the snakey type fish as many of us in poly land are. ;) You may already know this/ do this because of your other fish but really be sure there are zero gaps in your lid, around intake/output etc. for the ropes - there have been some sad deaths on the forum. Many of us use duct tape for that purpose.

Yea I love the odball type fish especially the bichirs and ropes!

Yes I have sliding glass so they cant escape or at least I hope they cant! Haven't had any incidents where my ropes tried to jump.

Ropes don't "jump" so much more like climb. Unlike polys, they jump!

Oh ok my mistake, though ropes are so slender and the movement is quite soothing to watch

Yes ropes are more graceful. But polys are more powerful. Much more muscle versus length. Ropes are sneaky and like to squeeze into tight spaces.
