2 weeks. Some of my umbee lost pieces of their fins like that, will heal up with good diet and water quality very quickly.

thanks, hes been in the 10G which ive 30% WC daily, ive added aquarium salt and melafix, i feed him cichlid gold, garden worms and tetra pellets.
 
another unique jag...he is gorgeous.... still have the goldie..? did you trim his tail off with scissors..just wondering because my black belt has very ragged tail.. and i always thought if i trimmed it ..it would grow out healthier..so use to trimming horse tails and dog tails ... lol

haha no he had fin rot when i bought him, he is healing now tho. he is only 4", yes unique no1 else has seen 1 like him from what ive heard so far...
 
well his tail is growing perfect and very even now... he looks so good.. congradulations..Do you still have goldie.?

unfortunatley not, the pair was taking up too much room in the tank, i sold him to another member (weiser) who said he will post pics up when hes settled.

I hope weiser has got some great photography skills! No offense to you (or Bolty for that matter), but I've always wanted to see a Mo or Rally quality shot of this jag. Heck I shouldn't say anything, I'm terrible with a camera!
 
not sure how it will heal. i had a dovii that looked like that and when his tail fin healed it had a big split right down the middle but that jag has very nice spotting and is real nice looking for its size. nice jag
