I only have a fluval 405 on my 80 gallon growout, and it does pretty good, but nothing like that. Yours sounds like a black hole sucking in the dirt.

The two canisters are meant for mechanical filtration and the other two handle the bio-load. I set up this tank with the idea that too much filtration is better than 2 little. I also want ammonia to be processed asap. I will eventually remove the 75 g wet/dry if the Ultima can live up to it's reputation.

Not too shabby. I usually have to clean it once a month. Both have been reliable so far.

Once a month cleaning is not bad, it has a lot of power, and that is what I want.
