Thanks guys for the replies I really appreciate them. I am definitely going to add more fish, plus I converted the ten gallon to a quarantine so I won't have any more excuses.

I had an idea when I saw this... standing the driftwood up, buried somewhat in the sand, then either attaching a massive clump of moss to the top, and once it establishes it would look like a tree

Thanks. I was planning on sticking the wood in, that's a good idea, theres actually a similar piece of wood that would work better but it's not waterlogged yet.

Hopefully I can duplicate this tank but on a much larger scale.
