a tank like that with a bunch of sa/ca cichlids might be awesome for many on here, but the general public/audience doesn't want to see a cool looking tank with big brown fish in it (that is what it would be perceived as). That being said, i like that they don't go into reef stuff with corals etc. as far as I've seen in episodes, because what keeps me from getting into reefkeeping is I'm not drawn to the technology/equipment aspect of the hobby.

You can't keep a CA's with that footprint....maybe a couple of convicts or salvini.
really? I figured a vw bus turned into a tank could house some ca cichlids hypothetically...that being said I don't know the actual dimensions would be if it were done.
Maybe if the phone booth was laid over on it's side you could. As it sits, the footprint looks to be aboout 24" x 24", up to maybe 30" x 30" which is too small to keep large CA/SA's. Fish need a tank in which they're able to swim back and forth, whereas that tank needs fish that swim up and down.

The tanks are really cool, The scripting of the show sucks(cheesy as hell doesn't even begin to describe it...lol), the dudes wife makes me want to stab myself in the ears every time she opens her fat mouth(she is a mix of Fran Dresher crossed with all the idiots from jersey shore...lol), and has anyone else noticed that they dump those poor fish straight into the brand new uncycled tanks with no acclimation process??!!! Poor fish :-( .You didn't miss anything spectacular man trust me...lol The only thing you missed were some cool tank designs that you can find pictures of online
When I first heard of the show I was looking foward to it. I watched it twice and never watched it again. It would have been better to watch if I didn't know anything about fish keeping but as it is it got on my nerves. I was expecting them to build some really cool big tanks with a little how to thrown in, not phone booth tanks or some equally lame BS. It's just an entertainment/reality show they could be doing anything it just so happens they build tanks but it really has no bearing as far as we would be concerned. I think someone sent them a link to this site, I wonder if they checked it out? Is the show still on?
