First week done!!!!!!!!! Only a bunch more to go. Took my 8th graders out a couple of days ago and dropped a fish trap in the concrete creek behind the school. Checked it later in the day caught 5 juvie texas cichlids!! Kids were thrilled as can be. I was a bit suprised as well, the creek is literally a concrete trough. Now the fish are the center of attention in the class.

As a Grade 8, i'd like to say I wish you were my grade 8 teacher.
 
Who wants to be in my class, form an orderly que lol I start tomorrow, teacher training no kiddywids til wednesday.
 
As an aspiring teacher, I don't really understand finance. I've heard poor pay, but what kind of housing prices are you looking at? With a 40,000 salary max (I used to live in Canada and intend to go back for a number of reasons, Asian arowanas are just one) to start with, what are housing prices? I tried one of the calculator thingies, but no luck, I don't have a clue what a downpayment is. I love teaching, but i'm not sure if it's the way to go...
