About the garlic. Garlic is a natural antibiotic, and your not adding extract to your tank, your feeding them food with garlic in it. I for one like to care for my fish in a natural way, i.e. adding salt for parasite or fungal problems, turning the temp up a little bit, adding vitamins and supplements to their diets. I don't like using chemicals. Fish aren't meant to be chemically treated.

Yes, both are ray safe when used correctly, each treats a different parasite.

The Garlic thing is largely myth imo.......
Jack Wattley has said to me several times that ' you know when you are usin enough garlic when your house always smells like an Italian bistro" and " use only the juice extract from frsh garlic"
but from chats with researchers I have spoken with about this, for the active anti-helminitic ingrediant to be effective you would have to put so much garlic ( extract) in your tank there would be no room for water. It will to an extent clear some parasites, which can help keep a healthy fish healthy, but it will not clear all of them , mostly it acts as a (nematode) suppressant for already healthy fish.

I am new and need some help. Have had ray about 18 months he is about 11 inches across. He eats about 8-10 nightcrawlers a day. Now he has stopped eating he will chew on one worm but not eat it. Also how often do I do a water change?
