The Tortoise Ranch

What do you do during the winter? Or are they okay outside during that time.

Awesome enclosures I wish I had that kind of room. And I love your scarlet macaw I want to see more pics of it.

Sulcattas stay out year round... they all have there own burrows (I should take a pic inside one, just to show you how huge and deep they are), the redfoots come in if it gets below 65F. Our winters are not that long, probably average of 1 month 55-60F weather. The birds are there, but we dont try to breed them, actually we're trying to sell them. Other than that... we really want to focus on turtles and tortoises)

Way cool!

<---- aldabras are something i'm trying to fund right now... I have a property we're trying to sell, in order to purchase some aldabras. I wish I had the funds to purchase galops! trust me.... the pens are probably taken up 5% of the total property on the farm. its crazy huge....

Wow! I admire your dedication! Those animals are certainly in good hands! Even my young son was just here looking over my shoulder and "oohhig and ahhing" over your pics!
I noticed a hose in one of the pens, do they tend to chew/bite things like that??
And I love the red foots, they look like they have a lot of personality!
Where I live we don't have turtles, or tortoises at all, too cold. They are beautiful creatures! Thank you for sharing! :)

awesome man. i have a sulcata hes about 12 inches at the moment and i cant wait till it gets huge. and aldabras are def my fav. but they cost a lot and kinda hard to find. but you have enough space to house several of them. hope you find them!
