many people think that these organizations are for animal lovers but the fact is that these people are against ALL animal ownership and will go to extremes to see this happen. I know a friend that owns a snake breeding farm out in Texas that got shut down because he unknowing hired some PETA people to manage it. They let the facility go downhill and animals were dieing and cages were not cleaned while the owner was out of town. they then called up the wildlife management and had the place shut down. I have many more stories like this one but I think that these videos will be better.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals

I hope that this will enlighten some people because they are very deceptive but if it were up to these organizations, there would be know birds, no reptiles, no cats, no dogs, and no fish available to be owned by anyone (including zoos) under any circumstances.

I know that some of this may be a bit offensive but I would think that you guys would want to know since it can effect our rights as pet owners.

PETA has no ability to affect policy making.

They pay for lobiests to push for legislation to pass.

PETA = idiotic terrorist cult. done.

PETA is a fanatical organization with ties to terrorist activity. Many people donate money to PETA without knowing exactly what their agenda truly is. PETA feels that pet ownership is a form of humans exploitating animals for the sake of receiving pleasure from the experience of owning the pet. Their logic of extrememly skewed. They do not support the keeping of any pet, including fish.

i know peta kills half there animals they take in, but how the hell do they rescue animals? they don't believe in pets ownership. So do they just release all the rescued animals into the woods?

That is another part missing from their story, They never mention what should be done with all of the pets if ownership is banned.

HR669 or whatever the one attempting to ban all pets failed. The more specific bills being proposed now such as the python ban aren't solely from animals rights organizations. What pet bills are PETA and HSUS currently backing? They may have wild campaigns, but has anything come of it?

And FWIW...i'm not a PETA supporter but much of the info against them comes from petkillsanimals.com. Which is run by the center for consumer freedom. If this organization had their way you would be able to eat endangered species at burger king and the amazon would be in the history books already.
