Owning guns is just as outdated as owning slaves. The only difference is the 2nd amendment vs. the 13th amendment.

Yeah, I got that. And it was determined that owning slaves is morally wrong because no one person is worth any more than another. How is owning guns morally wrong? Fine, guns can be used to commit a whole slew of crimes. But take away guns and the people that used them wrongfully would find something else to use to commit crimes, or just use guns anyway. You'd be taking away guns from the honest gun owners while the criminals continued to do what they're already doing. And honest gun owners are a huge majority of all gun owners.
