This is for you rmorse! As mentioned a few days back, I totally re-did the Remington 870. Got rid of all the fast-n-furious tacticool crap and went for a more functional no-nonsense approach. Wanted to build a shotgun that is strictly for home defense and gets the job done right. Only thing I need is to find a good mount for my Surefire light. So, here is how she stands:
- Remington 870 Express Magnum
- Remington Shurshot buttstock
- Remington "new style" Express Magnum forend
- John Masen heat shield
- TacStar mag extension (7+1 capacity)
- Mesa Tactical 8 shot shell carrier (yup its 8, count 'em!!)
- TruGlo fiber optic bead sight
I love the new look, especially the buttstock. It feels great holding it up to your cheek or down at the hip. So, what do you guys think? Can it get any better than this for home defense?
