dang, i got to say,
im loving this thread hats off.
i would have never expected that many variations of one species of cichla non the less they do exisit in quite spread from each other and all.
BUT;
lets cut to the chase..
we need fugu to get us some of them polyspot orino...!! hahah.

ive seen some rio negros with very messy blotchs. the rio negro is a very very very long big river, stretching from the center of the amazon- parts of colombia. I would think its possible that there would be a slight diffrence amoung rio negro orinos from one end of the river to the other. would you by any chance happen to know where in the rio negro those perfectly circular shaped orinos were caught?
yeah i mentioned that in another thread, that even rio negros can look very different. IMO, the ones further down the Negro closer to the amazonas are the ones with the perfect round spots, but these are just my observations.CichlaRyan;3227146;3227146 said:
the close they get to the Orinoco, the more it appears they start to mix up. and also, take a look at the rio verde orinos, those are from south brazil and look a lot like venz/columbia orinos...
