Here is a video that I made of my 17 inch W/C male Umbriferum eating a pair of mice back to back. It took him 20-25 minutes to digest them and left nothing behind. On this day I fed him two but I have fed him up to three at one eating. This is not his staple diet and I only feed him once a month like this to keep his predatory instinct sharp. His normal diet consist of Tilapia and Krill. I have tried to get him to take pellets but he does not like them. He is a true predator and will eat anything that will fit in his mouth. He is also the most curious fish I have ever kept and fears nothing. This fish is also blind in one eye. After loseing to a long battle of treatment for the eye infection I decided to subside only because the treatment was doing more harm to the fish than fixing the problem.(Thats another story to be told) Since I've stopped treatment this fish has shown his true colors as being the meanest UMBRIFERUM I have ever kept. I've tried to spawn this fish with a large and very flirtatious female but he would rather beat the crap out of her than spawn. I guess he is mad because I took him out of his Jungle
