Is that particleboard? I would fill the voids between those 2x4s along the bottom of the tank. Also some form of lateral support on the legs would be good, like maybe ply on the sides and back.

Ill be using three homemade power head filters, connected to (3) 2-quart containers filled with diy bio media. Two of which will be moving 150 gph and one moving 170 gph. These will be used in tandem with a heavy duty canister filter which has yet to be selected upon. Any suggestions for the canister filter??? P.S. I've been using one of my homemade power head filters moving 150 gph thru a single quart container filled with DIY bio media in tandem with a tetra 40i HOB filter on my standard 40gal forever now and it has kept the water ridiculously pristine. Saved about a hundred bux with the DIY power head filter.
