I've been enjoying the build pictures. I'm a turtle guy, living just outside of Philadelphia. I have a box turtle, an alligator snapper, a chicken turtle and a RES. The rest (4) are cooters. Therein lies my problem. I have one male, about 7-8" shell length. He's constantly knocking up all the ladies including the RES. I'm tired of cleaning up "egg foo yung" every spring. No egg laying area, so the eggs appear in the pond and get eaten by the other turtles. The male has been kept by himself for 3 years to prevent this. I can no longer manage a separate pond for the lone male, and I'm looking to adopt him out. Cooters naturally occur in the same waters as gators, so compatibility with a caiman would not be a problem. I'd gladly offer you right of first refusal if you think he would fit in with your plans. No cost, I'm just looking for a good home for a nice guy who has been a part of my household for 19 years now. Tame, personable and healthy. I'm just afraid that he gets second rate accomodations in the "all girl turtle household". If he fits in with your plans, just let me know. I'd deliver within 100 or so miles of my home, just to make sure my kid is well taken care of.
