The ]v[onster has begun!!

If things work out right in the next couple months, I'm gonna have an unfinished basement to do with as I please (new house). The fiance already told me she expects me to turn it into a fishroom :D.

Hopefully there will be a monster build in my future, though I don't think I'll be going for a caiman. I'm more of a gar and stingray man myself. Might have to add in a few herps eventually though...

We need pics of something soon man! We're going through serious withdrawl here...

UPDATES!!! not much but bed liner is all on. So it the roof,but i got to finish painting it and silicone work. Cant do anymore untill my next load of wood arrives. or i get more paint.
Have one light in. Will have to install the other shop light and gonna add 2 other fixtures on other side of the enclosure but havnt decided on what.

I've always wondered...How do you do water changes on larger bodies of water like a pond? Is it basically the same as a small tank, just on a larger scale?
 
Nice!! Moving along, albeit slower than most of us can stand! I'm sure you'll get it done soon enough, even with being busy with Osyris....

Dude, I am so excited for this build, It looks absolutely amazing and I can't wait to see the end product!

Osyris is so lucky to have a dad cool enough to turn his basement into a caiman enclosure!
 
I think the whole "caiman" thing was just a front. Its really just a big indoor play pen for Osyris, complete with 2 built in swimming pools! darn lucky little kid, really...
